Operating strictly on the eastern corridor into Sealdah, the train loses significant time due to an inefficient timetable and excessive suburban and minor halts—like Naihati, Barrackpore, and closely spaced local stations—that already have heavy EMU frequency. Upgrading the rake to modern LHB coaches, enforcing strict RPF monitoring, and eliminating redundant intermediate stops to focus on key district hubs like Ranaghat and Krishnanagar would cut travel time by 20–30 minutes, eliminate delays, and ensure a safer, punctual journey for genuine ticket holders.
